With four children to look after, Catherine Powell would always look for a reason not to slim down.

Weighing 19st 8lbs, it took a heart attack scare while tucking into a chocolate bar to finally Zi Xiu Tang Reviews make the 37-year-old take action.

She recalls: "I would always develop plenty of excuses - 'I have four kids. I'll do it following the next birthday, I will do it after Christmas."

A combination of snacking between meals, unhealthy dinners and a lack of exercise had seen Catherine pile on the pounds.

Catherine, of Moorhouse Avenue, said: "I might have jam on toast in the morning and think that's ok. At mid morning I would eat biscuits.

"Lunch would be sandwiches and a bag of crisps. Then chicken kiev and chips for tea, or spaghetti bolognaise. Every Saturday I would have a takeaway. I was

eating stuff that weren't necessarily really bad, but weren't great either."

After joining her local Slimming World class, Catherine were able to turn her life around.

She also discovered the joys of regular exercise.

The first thing she did after her cardiac arrest scare ended up being to join Slimming World and begin walking.

"Walking the children to college every day was the only exercise I acquired during the day and I was knackered," she says.

"They encourage an energetic lifestyle at Slimming World but if I had walked into a gym in those days it can't have happened.

"I were built with a Wii Fit board. I like to sit watching soaps and I thought 'I may either sit on the sofa or I can take a seat on my exercise bike'.

"I joined a zumba class, did exercise DVDs and Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen programmes on the web, which were 20 minutes long, so it took less time than to watch a TV programme.

"I joined the gym once i dropped a few pounds and it became a part of my everyday routine."
