More to do after you've gained weight

You've get yourself some pounds. It happens. We're human. Here's a list of things to avoid when you've gained weight.

Don't skip meals

Missing meals can't help you lose weight Liji Shou in the long run. Research has shown that eating every few hours helps stabilize your blood sugar and keeps you from making bad choices in the next meal. Plan ahead and make sure to eat every few hours.

Don't mentally punish yourself

Punishing yourself by staring in the mirror or calling yourself "big" isn't going to magically melt body fat around your waist - it is going to work against you. Studies have shown that people who practice self-compassion are more effective at changing their behaviors. Being unkind to yourself will make you more upset and likely lead to overeating. Accept your weight gain - for now - and concentrate on the positive choices you're making.

No need to splurge since your putting on weight is only temporary. Stock up on several pieces that may help you feel better about the way you look. Remember, feeling better can help you make smarter food choices.

Don't over-exercise

Don't start too fast and steady and be consistent. Set a realistic objective of how often each week you will exercise. Also, over-exercising can result in overeating, which can actually lead you to gain more weight.

Stay empowered by setting small, realistic goals. Once you discover you are able to achieve these goals, you'll feel more motivated to rehearse healthy habits. Stay focused. Maintain positivity. Stay healthy.
