'It's an extended hard process!' The Chew's Daphne Oz reveals she's can not shift her baby weight
As the host from the Chew, Daphne Oz knows a great deal about food and diet.
Therefore the 28-year-old envisioned having no problems quickly shedding her baby weight after giving birth 2 Day Diet Lingzhi captured.
But eight months after giving birth to her daughter, Philomena Rose, in February, Daphne is finding that it's not always that easy.
'I thought I knew where I'd be after i went for my first doctor appointment a couple weeks following childbirth. I'd lost only 10 pounds!' Dapne told Fitness magazine.
The presenter, who covers the magazine's new issue, explains: 'We have to reinforce that dropping excess weight is really a long, hard process.'
So Daphne came up with a nine-month plan to slim down, matching the time she was pregnant with her baby.
According to Daphne, her secrets of losing pounds were exercise, 'making smart choices,' and 'indulging moderately.'
For exercise, Oz's new workout began with yoga and running, linked with a little bonding time using the baby.
'Philomena loves finding yourself in it or carrier, so that's how I'll obtain a walk in,' Daphne explained.
That weight-loss diet didn't mean starvation but instead shifted the focus to lean proteins and vegetables, with foods like fish and yogurt making the cut.
Oz had one more important hurdle when it found losing the weight: her job as a host on the food-oriented show.
When asked in the interview how she managed that, Daphne revealed that her secret was a 'two-bite rule.'
This gave Lingzhi 2 Day Diet her one bite to taste an additional bite only if the food was worth further investigation.
In the end, Daphne noticed that patience was the most important thing: 'Your body doesn't instantly recover.'
